Initially when it was decided to refurbish the house, it needed a new roof, but when we took the old roof off, we discovered the walls were constructed of a type of clay construction and would not support the weight of a new roof, so most of the walls had to be torn down.
 
Here’s it is being stripped of it’s old tin roof
Once the roof was off, and the unstable walls taken down, it was time to pour new foundations and get the base of the new house in.
